The Woodbury Room is a spacious Deluxe Historical room on the 1st floor of the Northey Street House B&B named after the seafaring Captain Isaiah Woodbury, who occupied the house.
The Woodbury room was probably used as a parlor in the 18th century where important guests were greeted and merchant businesses conducted. The high ceilings makes for a grand stately introduction to the Cabinet Maker’s home.

The Woodbury room features the original 18th century architectural fireplace mantle. It is perfectly complimented by the Federal style antique fireplace andirons & screen. The antique mirrors, and period prints really takes you back to the 18th century.
The Woodbury room has a spacious en-suite with a standing shower stall and built in wall heater. The shower has a pull-out handheld massaging shower head. In the Summer, the Westerly winds come thru this back side of the house providing cool breezes. 100% cotton towels, hair dryer and toiletries are provided. The closet has iron & board, extra towels, bath robes, pillows, & blankets. We use only hotel quality premium down and 100% cotton bedding.
There is an in room state-of-the-art mini-split or air source heat pump that regulates cooling or heating for your personal comfort. It also has a micro-ban air filter that filters out 99.9% of germs. The room has an additional safe, soft radiant heat, low wattage wall mounted supplemental heater.
The fireplace with marble slab, though non-working, is filled with antique hurricane lanterns and is well stocked with candles for a soothing ambience.
